First Baby Spa Experience

Ever since they were discharged from hospital, I always wanted to bring them for baby spa, but my husband don't allow cause it was quite pricey.. So on that very day, before Christmas, their gugu (gerald's sister) and I brought them to Plaza Singapura for some retail therapy.

But the girls are way too uncooperative! Been whining throughout the whole journey from Sengkang to Dhoby Ghaut! Even when we reached, they didn't want to sit in their stroller. :( Then we walked pass BabySpa, something struck me and I decided to throw them into the water! HAHAHA.

They were so afraid of the water!!!!!

At first, we need to let them start off by sitting the the edge and kick water first. When its time for them to sit on the float, both of them started crying and I wasn't expecting this! As this was not their first time swimming, previous times were at the swimming pool and they love it so much!

The staff then told me that for babies, swimming with parents and swimming alone is different. They might feel insecure as I didn't go into the pool with them. That is why they struggled so hard. Aww~

So we tried to calm them down with their pacifiers and let them have some milk too..

But after few minutes of warming up, they didn't even bother if I was still there with them. Haha!
See how happy they were :

Happily playing with water and the toys! I'm sure they enjoyed to the fullest! :) But after the session, the headache part comes in. As it was an impromtu decision, I didn't any towels for them! Luckily I have 4 handkerchiefs in my bag, hahaha. So no choice, I had to dry them using handkerchiefs and also their jacket!

Mummies, what to prepare for babyspa?
Let them have sufficient sleep and feed at least 30 minutes before the session.
Bring your own towel, extra milk/water and diapers. Because you wouldn't want to spend extra money for just a towel!
One disposable swim diaper and neck float will be provided.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, handkerchiefs! Small little napkins won't take much space, you will never know how important they can be! Haha.

Finally, after the session, they quiet down a little and slowly fell asleep! Yay, mission accomplished! It's time to shop! After decreasing the number of notes in my wallet, we went back home for dinner and they slept throughout the journey! :)

A funny quote for today.

“Breasts are a scandal because they shatter the border between motherhood and sexuality.”

Happy 1st Birthday to My Princesses! ❤

Qiqi & Hanhan turn 1 on 26 October 2012 !

Birthday cake from Pine Garden.

Decorations from Kidz Party Store.

Their 1st birthday party was held at The Rivervale's function room! It was really spacious and the kids had lots of fun playing with balloons as there were ample space for them to run about too! :)

My best friend and up stayed up the whole night to bake cookies and the time was we took to decorate the cookies were way too long, haha. But for the sake of my girls birthday, we sacrificed our sleep.
Thanks so much my lover girl, Valerie! :)

Cute cupcakes were baked by Gerald's aunt and cousin! Really appreciate their effort too! I can imagine how much time they spent on baking! My girls are blessed! :)

First pair of shoes from Kiddy Palace. :) So pretty! Make them look so princessy~

Look at their pretty headbands! Handmade by my best friend too! It was way to cute on their botak heads! Hahaha! And their ballerina romper was bought from Qoo10.

Honestly, its hard to recognise them when they take photos individually but even when they are together, sometimes their face expression is so similar that I couldn't tell them apart by looking at their pictures! This is also one of the major problem about twins. >.<

Great-aunt is tall enough to help us stick the balloons when it falls off hahaha!

Here's Kenji & Kaeden ! Handsome boys of Charlene's.

Wanna see the best part of their birthday?

THERE WERE 3 SETS OF TWINS!!!!
How awesome can this be?!

Happy Great-grandmother celebrating their birthday with such a wide smile! :) I'm glad that my Granny is able to be with me till today at the age of 86. Love you, Ahma!

Friends and my younger brother helping me to cut the cake and distribute to everyone while I was busy talking to my relatives! Thank you so much! :)

Left: My best friend who accompanied me througout the whole celebrations! Sacrificing her sleep for my girls and I. I'm so glad to have you in my life!

Right: Sabrina and Celine! Though you two silly girls went to the wrong condo, haha, but I love you still! Thanks for being there to help me with anything that I need!

Thank you so so much!!!

Last but not least, thanks to everyone who attended their birthday party! The girls love all their presents so much! How wonderful it was to have everyone of you there to share my girls's special moment. Thank you so much just for taking part and helping me celebrate the day my lovely girls's 2nd year started!

Daily life with twins & a nephew [Part 2]

The 3 little pigs just recovered from HFMD.. Am so glad that they are fine now except for Qiqi..

Look at her rashes.. Poor little baby~

Brought her to the doctor and luckily it was nothing serious, doctor said that it's normal to have some "heat rash" after fever and so, he gave us a bottle of Calamol Lotion to apply on Qiqi's skin after bath. The rash last for about 3-4days and she is happily crawling all over the house again!

Mummies, don't be panic if your little one has rashes after fever alright? It's normal to have rash, I think it depends on the baby's body, that is why not every babies gets it. :) The most important thing you can do is make sure your child rests and gets plenty of liquids to avoid dehydration.

After this HFMD incident, my husband and I cleaned up our bedroom and created their new sleeping/playing/lazing area..
Tadaaaah ~

The whole circumference is surround by pillows, cushion, blankets and mats to prevent them from hurting themselves, because they always attempt to climb up to my bed! Haha, so the best way is to "block their way" from going in and out of the room with a wooden plank. :) That was a really smart idea from my Father-in-law!

Hmm, anyone misses Louis boy? :)

Here he is, playing with Qiqi & Hanhan's new pair of shoes for their birthday in a week's time!!! Look at them, so super chubby that I could squish them all day. Haha!

Stay tune for their birthday post!

Quote of the day.
" No one has the perfect way to be a good mother.
Each situation is unique.
Each mother has different challenges, different skills and abilities, and certainly different children.
What matter most is that a mother loves her children deeply.."
